Greetings on behalf of the dynamic and dedicated members of the Danville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Welcome to our official website and thank you for taking the time to visit us in this capacity.
Our 2025–2027 Biennium Theme is: Together We Can – ENGAGE. EMPOWER. ELEVATE.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded January 13, 1913, on the campus of Howard University by 22 young women who created an organization rooted in sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
The Danville Alumnae Chapter (DAC) was chartered April 6, 1946, by nine tenacious women committed to promoting the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness & Involvement
• Physical & Mental Health
• Political Awareness & Involvement
Striving to maintain the legacy of fortitude inspired by our 22 Founders and committed to by our nine Charter members, the Danville Alumnae Chapter is a public service organization that serves the City of Danville, the Counties of Halifax and Pittsylvania in Virginia, and Caswell County, North Carolina.
With a roster of more than 70 members, DAC is a proud member of the Sensational South Atlantic Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
In 2026, we look forward to celebrating the milestone of our 80th charter anniversary (April 6, 1946). If you are a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and looking for a chapter to call home, consider DAC. We will be honored to have you join us. There is a place for every soror here in Danville Alumnae!
